Set in Beacon Heights, Washington, The Perfectionists follows five high school girls who share one thing in common: they all secretly wished a fellow student dead. When that student actually turns up murdered, the five become the prime suspects. The two-book series examines ambition, pressure, and the dark side of perfection.

Freeform produced a TV adaptation called Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which aired for one season in 2019.
