About Sara Shepard
Sara Shepard grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where much of the Pretty Little Liars series takes place. She graduated from NYU and has an MFA from Brooklyn College. Her PLL book series became a cultural phenomenon after Freeform adapted it into a television show that ran for seven seasons.
Beyond Pretty Little Liars, Sara Shepard has written several other young adult and adult thriller series, each built around secrets, deception, and the complexities of friendship. She lives in Pittsburgh with her family.
