About The Lying Game
The Lying Game series tells the story of Emma Paxton, a foster kid who discovers she has a long-lost identical twin named Sutton Mercer. Sutton lives a charmed life in Tucson, Arizona, but when Emma tracks her down, Sutton has vanished. Emma steps into her twin's life to figure out what happened, narrating the story alongside Sutton's ghost.
The six-book series is a murder mystery told from two perspectives, blending identity, privilege, and betrayal. Sara Shepard published the first book in 2010, and ABC Family adapted it into a TV series that ran for two seasons.
