About the PLL Series

The Pretty Little Liars (PLL) series follows four girls in Rosewood, Pennsylvania who are haunted by an anonymous tormentor known only as "A." After their friend Alison DiLaurentis disappears, Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, and Emily Fields start receiving threatening messages that expose their most guarded secrets. What begins as cruel texts spirals into something far more dangerous. The PLL books span sixteen novels, each ratcheting up the tension as the identity of A shifts and the body count rises.

Sara Shepard wrote the original PLL novel in 2006, and the series became a #1 New York Times bestseller. Freeform (then ABC Family) adapted the PLL books into a television show that ran for seven seasons and 160 episodes, turning Pretty Little Liars into a worldwide pop culture phenomenon.
